The best mens colognes are not out of your reach. All it takes is a little research! And the good news? We’ve done it for you! Here’s our top 6 list of the best mens colognes on the market right now.

Givenchy Xeryus Rouge

Definitely an upgrade from the original Xeryus scent, this is a mature, citrusy, peppery scent and you don’t need to apply a lot to have it last all day. Ladies of all ages love this cologne, meaning its perfect for a night out. But you should avoid this one if you have sensitive skin!

Pros: mature, long-lasting

Cons: not suitable for sensitive skin

Safari by Ralph Lauren for Men, Eau De Toilette Natural Spray

This cologne has lasted the test of time, and is still one of the best mens colognes on the market over twenty years after being released. It’s recommended for the daytime but I found it suitable for just about all occasions. It starts out citrus-y but becomes rich and leathery throughout the day this is the best mens colognes for a man that wants to smell like a gentleman. On the downside, this kind of quality does come with a pretty big price tag.

Pros: Timeless, sophisticated

Cons: Slightly pricey

Acqua di Geo for Men

This is without a doubt one of my personal favourites and easily one of the best mens colognes around. I have received more female attention with this cologne than any other I’ve worn. It has real staying power and you don’t need much at all to make an impact. The only negative is the cost!

Pros: Attention grabbing, classic, longevity

Cons: A bit expensive

HAPPY For Men By CLINIQUE Cologne Spray

Excuse the pun, but this cologne really will make you happy. This is one of the best mens colognes for anyone wanting a refreshing, tangy, but not too overpowering cologne. It’s also relatively soft on the bank account and suited to the warmer months. I found it to be a little too subdued for my taste, and I couldn’t smell it at all after a few hours.

Pros: Refreshing, well-priced, perfect for spring/summer

Cons: Doesn’t have the same staying power as other colognes

Baldessarini Cologne by Hugo Boss for Men

This is a truly masculine cologne, with hints of mint, pine wood and tobacco. No florals to be found here! I would recommend it as one of the best mens colognes for those who want to smell like a man without breaking the bank. I found it wasn’t always appropriate for daytime wear, so I stick to wearing it in the evenings.

Pros: Strong and masculine, well priced

Cons: Best for evenings

Ed Hardy Hearts & Daggers for Men

This cologne is incredibly well priced and has a well-balanced scent. I wasn’t completely sold on this cologne before I tried it, but I couldn’t ignore the recommendations forever. Don’t be put off by the funky packaging because this is one of the best mens colognes for all ages. I did find that I had to reapply it several times over the day to keep it going.

Pros: Well balanced, well priced, good for all ages

Cons: No staying power
