There’s nothing better than a nice, clean shave… Except of course a nice, clean shave that lasts for days! We’ve done the hard yards and found for you the best mens shaving razors on the market. With these picks, you’ll be smooth and irritation free for longer than ever.

Schick Hydro 5 Blade Razor Review

The five super sharp blades are what really make this shaving razor a winner. The lubricated strips help it glide smoothly across your skin, reducing irritation. The blades last for ages before they go blunt and it’s refillable, with reasonably priced replacement blades. The lubricated strips fold back to create a trimming blade, but it can be a little awkward to use.

Pros: Sharp, long-lasting, refills reasonably priced

Cons: Trimming feature can be a bit hard to use

Gillette Fusion Proglide Power Razor Review

The Proglide also used five-blade technology and provides a smooth shave with and against the grain. I loved the fact that I didn’t notice any pulling in the normal problem areas. What really makes this one of the best mens shaving razors on the market is the battery powered micropulses that really do reduce friction when shaving. It’s refillable, but unfortunately the replacements are pretty pricey.

Pros: No noticeable pulling, micropulse technology

Cons: Relatively expensive refills

Gillette Mach 3 Razor Review

Another winner for Gillette, this shaving razor has only three blades but still maintains quality. The razor is refillable, but the heads last for a while so don’t expect to be buying them too often. The handle is nice and sturdy and I found the angle of the three blades made for a really great shave. Even with only three blades this product definitely belongs on any list of the best mens shaving razors. Downside is that, like the Proglide, the replacement heads are relatively expensive.

Pros: Angle of the blades, long-lasting, sturdy handle

Cons: Relatively expensive refills

Schick Xtreme 3 Triple Blade Closeness Razor Review

Another Schick product to make the list; unlike the Hydro this razor has only three blades, but don’t expect that it will affect the quality of your shave. I never noticed any clogging with this product and I really love the design. The lubricating strips have vitamin E and aloe, and I have to admit, I really noticed the difference to the overall softness of my skin using this razor! I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a mens shaving razor that is perfect for sensitive skin. This razor is entirely disposable, which is good for some people, but I prefer the refill option.

Pros: Great for sensitive skin, no clogging, great design

Cons: Entirely disposable

Merkur Heavy Duty Double Edge Straight Cut Razor Review

This razor isn’t messing around – if you need a product that works for thick, coarse hair, this is what you want. This product is a safety razor, meaning it is very different to the other products on this list and may take some getting used to, but if you’ve had no luck with cartridge razors this might be your lucky day. Once I became familiar with the process of shaving with a safety razor, I found it gave me a consistently smooth, irritation free shave on a regular basis. The price may seem a little daunting, but these razors are built to last.

Pros: Excellent shave, built to last

Cons: Might be hard to adjust to new technique

The best mens shaving razors are not out of reach

Shaving doesn’t have to be a job you dread if you use the best shaving razor for your hair and skin type. You can have smooth skin for days on end for relatively cheap by using the right product for you!
