Neutrogena Men Razor Defence Post Shave Lotion Review
I have really quite coarse hair and sensitive skin, so for me this product was a real winner. It’s oil and dye free and not only calms down any razor burn, but actually protects your skin from the elements throughout the day. The tube is quite small but a little goes a long way! I really liked the scent, but if you’re after something that won’t smell for hours, this might not be the lotion for you.
Pros: Oil- and dye-free, great for sensitive skin, don’t need much
Cons: Strong frangrance
Lubriderm Men's 3-in-1 Lotion Review
If you want to treat your skin after shaving but don’t like the fragrances that generally accompany these products, this is the best after shave lotion for you. I personally don’t like scents in my after shaves because I wear cologne, so for me this is a great option. It also comes in a light fragrance option for those who just find most scents overwhelming. What I really liked about this product was that I could use it on my body as a moisturiser, as well as my face. It didn’t moisturise as well as I would like but it was not greasy at all, so I guess it’s a trade-off!
Pros: Fragrance-free, face and body moisturiser, not greasy
Cons: Not a deep moisturiser
Proraso Dioibarba Aftershave Lotion Shaper Review
This after shave lotion will leave your skin cool and tingling and is packed with great ingredients like eucalyptus oil and menthol to help condition your skin. It has a light fragrance which I quite like, but it fades quickly meaning it won’t interfere with your cologne. It is a toner though, so make sure you use a moisturiser after to keep your skin in the best condition possible.
Pros: Cools skin, contains eucalyptus oil, nice light fragrance that fades quickly
Cons: Tones only, need a moisturiser
Clubman After Shave Lotion Review
I love going to the barber shop for a shave, but I often don’t have enough time, and this is the best after shave lotion to help me recreate the experience at home. It makes you smell like a man and gives that refreshing hit that really wakes you up. The price isn’t bad either! It even helps heal razor cuts. The alcohol might make it a little strong for sensitive skin.
Pros: Masculine smell, refreshing, good price, heals razor cuts
Cons: Possibly too strong for sensitive skin
Old Spice After Shave Lotion Splash Review
This is the classic best after shave lotion for men all over the world. I love that I can rely on the feedback of generations of men for quality and effectiveness. The fragrance has changed slightly recently, but I still really like it. Even though it has alcohol in it, it doesn’t burn any little cuts or nicks I might get from shaving. It says it’s a lotion, but it’s more of a liquid after shave, which is fine by me, but it’s not creamy like you might expect given the name.
Pros: Classic smell, good quality, doesn’t burn
Cons: More of a liquid than a cream lotion
