Remington MB4040 Lithium Ion Powered Men's Rechargeable Mustache and Beard Trimmer Review
If you need a trimmer for travelling, especially if you don’t know how often you’ll get to charge it, this is the best beard trimmer for you. It has an incredible battery life but doesn’t lose out in the power department. I used this trimmer for months before needed to recharge the battery, which is no small feat because I am fairly hairy! It has specialised attachments for every area of the face, and different length settings that give consistent trims every time. I wouldn’t recommend this though if you are looking for a really close trim since the comb just won’t allow it for most guys.
Pros: Amazing battery life, powerful, precise
Cons: Doesn’t allow super-close trims
Philips Norelco QT4070 Vacuum Beard, Stubble and Mustache Trimmer Pro Review
I personally hate the hairy mess that trimming my beard makes, and that’s why I loved this product. The vacuum works surprisingly well, even for thick beards like mine. It can be used with or without the cord, which means that the vacuum is even handier: you can use it away from the sink! Unlike a lot of other variable length trimmers, there’s no way that you’ll accidentally bump the length setting and end up with a less than ideal look. It works with a ring selector, and I tried to ‘accidentally’ move it more than once and had no luck! The only thing I was disappointed with was the lack of moustache trimmer in the extras. Otherwise, one of the best beard trimmer I’ve used!
Pros: Vacuums up hair as you go, can be used with or without cord, fool-proof length adjuster
Cons: No moustache trimmer included
Wahl 5537-1801 Cordless Battery Operated Beard Trimmer Review
This trimmer comes with a massive eleven different pieces! Versatility is its middle name; especially useful are the nose, ear and eyebrow trimmers. It’s also cost effective, so it’s the best beard trimmer for guys trying to save money. The unit is completely cordless, so be sure to buy good quality batteries if you don’t want to be changing them regularly because it does seem to chew through them.
Pros: Well priced, versatile, bonus nose, ear and eyebrow trimmers, cordless
Cons: Chews through batteries
Braun Cruzer 6 Beard & Head Trimmer Review
Nice and lightweight, I loved that this trimmer didn’t leave me feeling like I’d been at the gym lifting weights for the past hour. It’s the best beard trimmer for younger guys who are still working on their technique because it’s basically impossible to cut yourself with it. It can also be used for your head hair, so double the value for your money! Make sure though that if you are trimming longer hair that you keep it clean, because it will clog up easily.
Pros: Lightweight, impossible to cut yourself, can be used on head hair
Cons: Clogs easily with longer hair
Andis 29115 Promotor + Hair Clipper and Trimmer Combo 27 Piece Kit Review
The price of this trimmer is high, but given the sheer volume of extras that you get with it, I’m not surprised. The trimmer itself is great quality and even comes with an instructional DVD to get you started. There are a lot of combs, but luckily, they were all numbered so I could easily find the one I wanted to use again. They’ve even packaged it all up in a carry case! I found that it didn’t work quite as well when my hair was wet, but otherwise fantastic!
Pros: Lots of extras, numbered combs, carry case
Cons: A bit pricey
